S. Korean Chief Executive's Trip to US Dismissed as Sycophantic
Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations of south Korea including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification held the 164th action for independent reunification and peace on May 14.

Speakers at the meeting accused the present chief executive of crying out for "sanctions" and pressure on the north and the "change in the north" during her junket to the U.S., and thus dashing the hope of the nation for independence and the peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Her visit to the U.S. was just aimed to confirm the hostile policy toward fellow countrymen and the military nexus with the U.S. and Japan, they deplored.

Ridiculing the sexual scandal committed by a Chongwadae spokesman as the fruit of the trip, they charged that sycophancy is what she has done in the U.S.

The situation shows that the reunification of the Korean Peninsula should be achieved by the nation's concerted efforts, they said, calling on all Koreans to block the south Korea-U.S. alliance for aggression and achieve the peaceful reunification with their own efforts.
