Pak Pong Ju Inspects Chollima Steel Complex
Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju made a field survey of the Chollima Steel Complex.

Going round the complex and the Posan Iron Works which are waging a dynamic drive for increased iron production, the premier encouraged the officials, technicians and workers to work hard to implement the party's policy and convened a consultative meeting.

At the meeting he underscored the need for the officials and other workers of the complex to steadily increase the production capacity by stepping up Juche-orientation and modernization of the non-ferrous metal industry, with firm resolve to shatter the moves of the U.S. imperialists and their stooges to ignite a war in hearty response to the line advanced by the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un on pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force.

More iron and steel are required at the worksites for building a socialist economic power, the premier said, calling for making great innovations in production.

The consultative meeting took measures for the Cabinet and relevant units to substantially supply raw and other materials needed for normal production and updating of the complex.

Earlier, he made a field survey of the Sunchon Cement Complex.

After going round different places of the complex, he convened a consultative meeting. Discussed there were issues on substantially supplying cement needed for implementing the new line of the Workers' Party of Korea and stepping up the updating of production processes.

The premier also went round the construction site of the Children's Hospital and the venue of the 16th Pyongyang Spring International Trade Fair.
