Kim Jong Un Meets Creators and Artistes of Unhasu Orchestra
Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, together with Ri Sol Ju met creators and artistes of the Unhasu Orchestra preparing the performance for celebrating the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

He visited the spot and watched the art pieces to be staged on the war victory day.

After watching them, he gave important instructions for the preparations of celebration performance ranging from its orientation to its ideological stand, numbers and arrangement.

To significantly celebrate the 60th war victory day is of weighty importance in glorifying President Kim Il Sung's undying feats for the victory in the war as well as the indomitable spirit of the DPRK army and people who defeated the U.S. imperialists and honorably protected the freedom and independence of the country, he said.

The creators and artistes of the orchestra should be deeply aware of the importance of the celebration performance and reflect in every number the exploits of the President and the fighting spirit of the army and people of the DPRK who displayed popular heroism and noble spiritual and moral traits, rallied close behind the Party and the leader, he stressed.

He called on them to demonstrate, through the performance, the might of the orchestra developed by leader Kim Jong Il with much effort, as the first standard-bearer on ideological and cultural front and an art organization of national treasure.

As the Moranbong Band and the Unhasu Orchestra will give a joint performance on the occasion, it is necessary to make good preparations for it and once again demonstrate before the whole world their reputation as art troupes loved by the people, he said.

He expressed the belief that the creators and artistes of the band and the orchestra would put peculiar and fresh numbers on the stage of the celebration performance.

He had a photo session with the creators and artistes of the orchestra on the same day.

He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and director of the KPA General Political Bureau, Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee, and Choe Hwi, first vice department director of the WPK Central Committee.
