Rodong Sinmun Flays U.S., and S. Korean Moves for Nuclear War
Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- No sooner had the DPRK-targeted Foal Eagle joint military drills of the U.S. and south Korean warmongers ended in south Korea than they restarted their madcap saber-rattling. This is a deliberate military provocation to steadily escalate tension on the Korean Peninsula and unleash a nuclear war.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

An extreme tension is prevailing on the peninsula due to the U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime's vicious actions to hurt the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK.

Nevertheless, they are now staging madcap war exercises more provocative than Foal Eagle, crying out for "a tougher posture" to cope with "provocations" from the north.

These days Washington and Seoul are talking a lot about dialogue, letting loose such rhetoric that they stand for detente and peace.

If what they say is true, is there any reason for them to restart the dangerous war maneuvers in the wake of Foal Eagle?

All facts go to clearly prove that dialogue touted by them is nothing but a hypocritical charade to hide their true colors as aggressors and evade the blame for the tension on the peninsula.

Their escalating war drumbeats against the DPRK once again reinforce its determination to mercilessly foil their nuclear war moves with powerful nuclear deterrent of justice.

Should the U.S. imperialists and south Korean trigger-happy forces dare preempt firing at the DPRK, it will deal prompt counter-blows at them and wipe them out to the last man.
