DPRK's Stand Supported by Beninese Political Party Leader
Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- Ali Houdou, chairman of the Socialist Party of Benin, released a statement on May 2 as regards the situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. is working hard to ignite a nuclear war by amassing its nuclear carriers and submarines in the waters off the peninsula and its vicinity, he said, and went on:

There prevails on the peninsula such tense situation that a nuclear war may break out any moment.

The Korean problem was spawned by the U.S. forces' occupation of south Korea and it has remained an international issue for more than half a century.

The U.S. remains unchanged in its policy to invade socialist Korea and put it under its domination.

The U.S. takes issue with the DPRK over its legitimate and just measures in a bid to justify its moves for aggression.

The joint military exercises of the U.S. and south Korea indicate that the outbreak of a nuclear war is becoming an established fact due to the U.S.

The U.S. is to blame for the unprecedented danger of a nuclear war in history on the Korean Peninsula.

It is the stand of the DPRK to counter nukes in kind.

I support the just cause of the DPRK to defend its sovereignty and build a thriving socialist nation, pursuant to a new strategic line on simultaneously pushing forward with economic construction and the building of nuclear force.

The revolutionary stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people to fulfill their international obligation on the road of independence, Songun and socialism will receive full support from the world socialist movement.
