Anti-"Government" Action Staged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- An action took place in Seoul, south Korea on May Day to denounce the puppet regime's unpopular rule, according to south Korean Yonhap News.

More than 10 000 members of the Confederation of Trade Unions held a rally at the Seoul Plaza under the slogan of "Declare right, shout an equal world!"

The ralliers in a declaration on the right accused the capitalists of trampling down the right of workers by means of hiring.

It is deplorable that workers are liable to lose their jobs and to be thrown to street from the moment they call for their rights, they said.

They branded the present "government" as a regime utterly indifferent to workers.

They declared they would conduct a dynamic action for the abolition of part-time job, wage hike, etc.

Then a declaration for the right to solidarity of youth and children, the disabled, the urban poor and petty tradesmen was read out.

The Public Transport Workers Union, the Government Employees Union, the Public Health and Medical Workers Union and other organizations under the confederation held rallies and staged demonstrations in different parts of Seoul.

Meanwhile, civic and public organizations held rallies and staged sit-in strikes in demand of the vital rights of the workers.

That day the fascist authorities hurled at least 5 000-strong police forces of 67 companies into different parts of the city, kicking up a terror-ridden atmosphere.
