Denuclearization of U.S. and World Is Prerequisite to That of Korean Peninsula: Newspaper
Pyongyang May 3 (KCNA) -- The Korean Peninsula can never be denuclearized before the world including the U.S. is denuclearized. This is the DPRK's principled stance on the issue. Rodong Sinmun Friday observes this in a bylined article.

It continues:

Lurking behind the U.S. rhetoric about the issue of the denuclearization of the peninsula is an ulterior intention to force the DPRK to dismantle its nukes and realize the U.S. scenario for invading the DPRK with ease.

The U.S. was the only country which used nukes and it is none other than Washington that seeks to dominate the world with its nukes.

Now that the U.S. is working hard to realize its scenario to threaten and blackmail all other countries with nukes and put the whole world under its control at any cost, it is an exercise of the right to self-defense to react to it in kind.

The world can be peaceful only when the U.S. dismantles all its nukes and gives up its intention to invade other countries.

U.S. President Obama once advocated "a world without nuclear weapons" but this remains an empty talk.

The Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty was concluded between Russia and the U.S. several years back. This, however, was not for denuclearization but for reducing nukes.

This treaty allows both sides to have about 1 500 nukes each. But it is hard to guess whether this treaty would be implemented as the U.S. usually does not keep its promise.

The U.S. is stepping up the development and modernization of nukes under the signboard of nuclear disarmament.

These facts indicate how hypocritical the U.S. call for "a world without nuclear weapons" and "a denuclearized world" is.
