Iranian Ambassador Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- Mansour Chavoshi, Iranian ambassador to the DPRK, gave a reception at his embassy on Tuesday to mark the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Ui Chun, minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Ryong Nam, minister of Foreign Trade, Jong Yong Su, minister of Labor, Ri Yong Chol, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials concerned.

The Iranian ambassador said that thanks to the wise leadership of the President, the Korean people could achieve progress and prosperity, foiling threats and blackmails of the hostile forces and their moves to stifle the DPRK.

He said that the wishes of Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il would successfully come true thanks to the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

He noted that Iran would as ever support the Korean people in their efforts to protect the sovereignty of the country and revolutionary gains and reunify Korea.

Yang Hyong Sop in his speech noted that the bilateral friendly and cooperative ties provided by the President with top leaders of Iran are growing stronger as the days go by.

He extended firm support and solidarity to the government and people of Iran in their struggle to protect the right to nuclear activities for peaceful purposes and build a strong Islamic state, standing firm against the pressure of the U.S. and the West.

He noted that the feats performed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in developing the friendly relations between the DPRK and Iran and accomplishing the human cause of independence will go down in history.
