Rodong Sinmun Holds U.S., S. Korea Accountable for Extreme Tension on Korean Peninsula
Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- The tough-and-go situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula is entirely attributable to the U.S. and south Korean puppet authorities' policy of confrontation with the DPRK and their moves for igniting a war against it, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a bylined article.

It goes on:

The U.S. prodded the UN Security Council into fabricating a "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK over its satellite launch for peaceful purposes in December last year. This sparked off the present tension on the peninsula.

To cope with the grave situation where the enemies went crazy with provocations against the DPRK, outlawing even its satellite launch, it was compelled to conduct its third underground nuclear test for self-defence.

Kicking up unprecedented confrontation hysteria, the U.S. and other hostile forces cooked up a harsher "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK and, at the same time, staged the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises with huge armed forces for aggression involved, posing a grave threat to it.

The south Korean puppet regime's reckless racket for confrontation with the DPRK has put the inter-Korean relations in the state of war and operation in the Kaesong Industrial Zone to suspension, the worst situation in history.

The dialogue touted by the U.S. and the puppet regime is nothing but rhetoric to cover up their criminal act of having pushed the situation on the peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war.
