Peruvian Party Condemns US Moves against DPRK
Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- A meeting for solidarity with the Korean people was held in Lima, Peru on April 19.

The international secretary of the Central Committee of the Peruvian Communist Party in a speech at a meeting condemned the U.S. imperialists for persisting in their moves against the DPRK for several decades, adding that their goal is to turn the whole of Korea into their colony and use it as a springboard for dominating the world.

The Korean people won victory in the war fought against the U.S. imperialists and brought about the beginning of the downhill turn for U.S. imperialism under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, he said and went on:

The Korean people set a worldwide example by successfully carrying on socialist construction in the post-war period.

The U.S. is persistently laying a hurdle in the way of Korea's reunification in a bid to perpetuate its military presence in south Korea.

The moves of the U.S. and its followers to stifle the DPRK reached their height over the DPRK's satellite launch on Dec. 12, 2012. They prodded the UN Security Council into fabricating the unreasonable "resolution on sanctions" and staged large-scale war drills to threaten the DPRK.

The DPRK is taking such tough countermeasures as conducting its third underground nuclear test as a legitimate step for self-defence to cope with their moves to stifle it.

The U.S. is entirely to blame for the grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula on the eve of a war.

The Korean people are a heroic and peace-loving people who are leading the struggle for achieving independence against imperialism and protecting world peace.

The Peruvian Communist Party and the world progressives vehemently denounce the warmonger U.S. for its moves to invade the DPRK and send full support and solidarity to the Workers' Party of Korea and its people in their struggle for freedom, independence and sovereignty.
