WIPO Top Prizes Awarded to DPRK Inventors
Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- Top inventor prizes and medals of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) were conferred on inventors of the DPRK.

The awarding ceremony took place Wednesday.

The awardees included Jon Hyong Su, room chief of Pyongyang University of Architecture, Kim Chol Hyok, post-graduate student of the university, Hong Song Hyok, designer of the Management Bureau for the Preservation of the Revolutionary Sites, and Pang Chol Min, student of Kim Chaek University of Technology. They contributed to the construction of monuments by completing the three dimensional curve space stoning method. O Kwang Won, director general of Korea Jangsu Trading Corporation, Kim Chol Gon, section chief of the corporation, and Kang Song Su, its staff, also received prizes and medals for producing Kaesong Koryo Insam powder and inventing its production method. The Insam powder can be used as ingredient for a variety of food and is good for increasing immunity and also efficacious for treatment and prevention of diseases.

The WIPO decided to award top inventor prizes to those who were highly appreciated at the 12th national invention and new technological presentation held last year.
