Declaration on Situation for Peace on Korean Peninsula Published
Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- The All-People Solidarity for Peace on Korean Peninsula in south Korea released a declaration on the situation in Seoul on April 21, according to south Korean Yonhap News.

The declaration said that the distrust between the south and the north has reached an extreme phase as evidenced by the crisis in the Kaesong Industrial Zone.

The Korean Peninsula is standing at the crossroads of whether it will suffer from a war disaster or the nation will prosper by achieving peace, it noted.

The primary responsibility for the prevailing situation rests with Lee Myung Bak who derailed dialogue, exchange and cooperation between the south and the north, it held.

Peace guarantees the future of the nation, it said, calling upon all people to pool efforts for preventing a war.

It demanded the U.S. opt for concluding a treaty for peace on the Korean Peninsula.
