Foreign Crewmen Observe Founding Anniversary of KPA
Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- A meeting of foreign crewmen was held in Hungnam Port, South Hamgyong Province Saturday on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Its participants laid bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il in Hamhung City before paying tribute to them.

Present at the meeting were the captain and crewmen of a Cambodian-flagged ship.

Speakers extended highest respect to the President and Kim Jong Il, founder and builder of the KPA, who represent an ever-victorious banner.

The KPA has won victory under the wise commandership of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu, they noted, adding:

The KPA is equipped with powerful offensive and defensive means capable of waging any modern war.

As the Korean people hold Kim Jong Un in high esteem as another great brilliant Songun commander, the DPRK is demonstrating its dignity before the world as an invincible politico-ideological power, world-class military power, a nuclear weapons state and a satellite manufacturer and launcher.

Only victory and glory are in store for the service personnel and people of the DPRK who are stepping up the building of a thriving socialist nation, closely united around the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
