Just Cause of Korean People Supported at Int'l Women's Meeting
Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Women's International Democratic Federation expressed support and solidarity for the just cause of the Korean people. It took place in Cyprus from April 3 to 7.

Marcia de Campos Pereira, president of the federation, said in a report at the meeting that although the DPRK is not large in its territory, it is a great country and its people are a staunch people who have struggled against the U.S. moves to stifle it for many years.

The president recalled that due to the moves of the U.S. and its followers, there is the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula and the government of the DPRK is standing firm against it.

She hoped that the DPRK would register greater success in the work to increase the role of the women in every fabric of social life including the anti-imperialist struggle and economic construction.

The final resolution of the meeting urged the U.S. to halt at once its moves to stifle the DPRK in collusion with its allies and withdraw its aggressor forces including nukes from south Korea.

The meeting adopted a statement of solidarity "The U.S. should roll back at once its hostile policy towards the DPRK and ensure peace on the Korean Peninsula".

The statement demanded the U.S. accept the just proposals of the DPRK calling on the U.S. to rescind its hostile policy toward the DPRK at once and replace the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty.

It also urged the U.S. to comply with the unanimous will and wish of the Korean people and other world progressive peoples for lasting peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

In the meantime, there took place in a city on April 5 an event to support the struggle of the Korean people.

The president and delegates of women's bodies from different countries looked round photos on the theme of "Successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2" and watched Korean films such as "The DPRK that the World Witnessed in 2012" and "E-library of Kim Il Sung University".
