Officials and workers of the Complex not only overfulfilled their steel production plan for the first quarter of this year but honored ahead of schedule their commitment to increased steel production proposed by the Workers' Party of Korea.

The drive for increased production in Kangson serves as an engine for achieving greater success in the building of a thriving nation by dint of single-minded unity and a banner for dynamically pushing forward an all-people drive to carry out the WPK's new line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and building of nuclear force, the editorial says, and goes on:

The workers in Kangson have extraordinary resolution to live up to the trust reposed by the leader in them with noble conscience and moral obligation, regarding it as dear as their own lives and they have the unshakable will to unconditionally honor their tasks ahead of schedule even at the risk of their own lives. This is their fighting spirit. It was thanks to this intense loyalty that they could bring about such innovation as ensuring five successive charges of ingot steel, not wedded to the existing conception, markedly reducing the time of steelmaking at the UHP electric arc furnace, and keeping the production at a high rate even in winter.

It is the unanimous desire and target of struggle for the workers in Kangson to become standard bearers, members of shock brigade and mainstays in carrying out the WPK's new line by boosting the production of irons and steels needed for economic construction and the development of the country's defence capability.

All people are called upon to give fullest play to their mental power in thoroughly implementing the Party's policies by learning from the workers in Kangson. This is the way of fully demonstrating the validity and vitality of the Party's new line and the dignity and might of Songun Korea.
