Mt. Oga Boasts of Many Species of Plants
Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- Mt. Oga, standing high between Hwaphyong County of Jagang Province and Kim Hyong Jik County of Ryanggang Province, boasts of many species of plants.

It has a natural reserve covering more than 1 740 hectares of forests.

The reserve is forested mainly with the species of fir, Abies nesphrolepis, spruce and ash tree.

It is abundant in medical plants, including forest asiabell, with various species of plants fairly distributed.

The Mt. Oga pine-nut tree, one of the most age-long trees, is under protection as a natural treasure of the country.

The umbrella-shaped linden in the reserve is believed to be alive from around the year 1430.
