The statement said:

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK, made a report and a concluding speech at the plenary meeting.

The meeting adopted a decision on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force as required by the developing revolution of Korea. This is a brilliant succession of the line on simultaneously building economy and national defence put forward and thoroughly applied by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and its development in depth onto a new higher stage.

According to the decision of the meeting, the DPRK will legalize its possession of nukes and bolster them both in quality and quantity till the world is denuclearized.

The DPRK, a responsible nuclear weapons state, will make every possible effort to prevent the nuclear proliferation, to defend peace and security in Asia and the rest of the world and realize the denuclearization of the world.

It will also direct efforts into agriculture and light industry, the main targets in building an economic power, and stabilize and improve the standard of people's living at the shortest time.
