Mangyongdae, Kim Il Sung's Birthplace
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- An endless stream of visitors is now flowing to Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung, with the approach of the Day of the Sun (April 15), his birthday.

In Mangyongdae there is a modest straw-thatched house where the President was born.

Recollecting the President's reminiscences "With the Century" on his family history, the visitors to the house look at the historic relics like handmill, misshapen jar and farm implements which the Mangyongdae family had used.

After visiting Mangyongdae, Neil Fitzgerald, national chairman of the Australia-DPRK Association for Friendship and Culture, said: It is hard to believe that President Kim Il Sung was born in that poor family. Through the visit I have come to know that as he grew up, experiencing sufferings of the nation, he could know well of the people and devote his all for their wellbeing. This old home is a reminder of President Kim Il Sung.

The old home in Mangyongdae has been visited by more than 100 million people, including foreigners, over the past 60 odd years.
