Meetings for Solidarity with Korean People Held in Brazil, Mexico
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- Meetings for solidarity with the Korean people were held in Brazil and Mexico on April 2 and 6.

Reports and speeches were made at the meetings.

The national coordinator of the Genuine Democratic Movement of Brazil accused the U.S. and its allies of pushing the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of a war.

He extended full support and solidarity to the struggle of the party, army and people of the DPRK to defend the sovereignty of the country and supreme interests of the nation.

Pedro De Oliveira, assistant to the national chairman of the Central Committee of the Brazilian Communist Party, the secretary in charge of social and political affairs of the Mexican Workers' Unique Centre and other speakers termed the U.S. and its allies' moves for nuclear war provocation an act of gravely harassing the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of the world.

Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, said that the DPRK will surely achieve a final victory as it has the might of single-minded unity and the strong military muscle under the wise Songun leadership of Kim Jong Un, and the U.S. and its allies are bound to meet ruin.

Statements were issued at the meetings.

The statements urged the U.S. to stop the reckless war maneuvers against the DPRK at once and replace the Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty.

They called upon the world peace-loving people to positively turn out in the struggle against the high-handed and arbitrary practices of U.S. imperialism.
