On the basis of the unique theory that the army represents the party, the state and the people, he made ceaseless military inspection to develop the Korean People's Army into an invincible one fully prepared in ideological and military technical terms.

He realized the modernization of the local defence industry and turned the militia forces into dependable combat ranks and the whole country into an impregnable fortress.

Thanks to his devoted and energetic efforts, the DPRK has now risen to fame as a full-fledged nuclear state as well as a satellite manufacturing and launching state.
