Stage of Poems, Songs Given by Youth and Students
Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) -- A stage of poems and songs "Might of Korea" was given by youth and students in Pyongyang at the Central Youth Hall on Tuesday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.

It began with celebrating poem "Great Joy in April".

In small chorus "Glory to General" and poem recital "He Is Chairman of the National Defence Commission" the performers presented the greatest tribute to Kim Jong Il, who paved the way for a bright future of Songun Korea and provided a guarantee for the eternal prosperity of the nation.

Mixed duet and chorus "On the High Pass and Steep Road on This Land" and five-people poem "Song of Victory" vividly represented the immortal leadership feats and noble traits of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, who called at soldiers and instilled into them firm belief in the victory while walking on the steep road of the forefront.

Male solo "Might of Korea" struck a chord in the hearts of the audience. It showed the fact that Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un represent the strong power of Songun Korea as they glorified the DPRK as the world-level military giant, nuclear weapons state and satellite manufacturing and launching state.

The stage came to an end with small choruses "Leader, Just Give Us Your Order" and "We Will Defend General Kim Jong Un at the Cost of Our Lives". It showed well the fixed will of the members of young vanguard to become five million arms and ten million bombs, successfully wrap up the all-out action with the U.S. and brilliantly realize the cause of building a thriving nation, in hearty response to the decision of the March, 2013 plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Present there were Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, officials of the youth league, youth and students in Pyongyang.
