White Porcelain, One of Korea's Cultural Heritages
Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- White porcelain was one of attractions in the Feudal Joson (Korea) Dynasty (1392-1910).

Representing the pure-minded Korean people's emotional feelings, white porcelain is divided into snow-colored, milk-colored and light blue-colored ones.

They were lightly patterned in good harmony with white-color background. The patterns mainly covered flowers, sceneries of mountains and animals.

Thus, ceramics of the Fedual Joson Dynasty were characterized by the white porcelain while those of the Koryo Dynasty (918-1392) by Koryo celadon, all of which were renowned all over the world.

Still now, those of the Feudal Joson Dynasty are estimated to be the best among white porcelains in the world.

The white porcelain of Korea is listed as one of the national cultural heritages.
