S. Korea-U.S. Plan for War Flailed
Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- The commander of the U.S. forces in south Korea and the chief of the south Korean military signed a "plan for jointly countering the provocation of a local war", the keynote of which is to provoke an all-out nuclear war.

The plan specifies detailed operations for expansion of a local war to an all-out nuclear war with a joint counteraction of the south Korean and U.S. forces. It also refers to military personnel, operational means and different methods for war provocation.

The U.S. is now describing the plan as a measure to reduce the possibility of war on the Korean Peninsula.

But, it is based on the U.S. sinister scheme to carry on an all-out nuclear war involving its forces from its mainland and the Pacific, with a local war to be launched by the south Korean military as a pretext.

The plan provides the U.S. imperialists with a legal ground for them to take part in any armed conflict between the north and the south of Korea.

Accordingly, it is quite natural for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to take a countermeasure now that the U.S. nuclear war scenario has entered an uncontrollable, practical stage.

In this regard, Ri Jang Hui, an officer of the Korean People's Army, told KCNA:

"'The plan for jointly countering the provocation of a local war' is no more than a scenario for provocation of a total war.

Servicepersons of my unit will reduce the aggressors and their military bases to ashes, if provoked."
