In Pyongyang, many flowers of different species have been cultivated at various units including the Pyongyang Floriculture Institute and the Pyongyang City Floricultural Farm.

Choe Sok Chol, manager of the Pyongyang City Floricultural Farm, told KCNA:

"It is not so easy to make various species of flowers bloom all at once in a fixed time.

But, we have done our best to provide a sea of flowers, taking deep care of every cultivation process. Now, all flowering plants have begun to take buds though it is still chilly.

Streets in Pyongyang will take on a new look with the approach of the April holiday."
