Swedish Party Leader Accuses U.S.
Pyongyang. April 2 (KCNA) -- Anders Karlsson, chairman of the Communist Party in Sweden, posted on its website on March 8 an article disclosing the nature of the U.S. as harasser of peace on the Korean Peninsula.

An acute atmosphere in which a war can not be ruled out is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula, he said, branding the U.S. and south Korea as the forces pushing the situation to such a serious phase.

He recalled that the U.S. instigated the UN Security Council to criticize the DPRK's legitimate satellite launch as illegal and cook up a "resolution on sanctions" against it, a wanton violation of international law and its sovereignty.

The U.S. threatened the DPRK with nukes in 1950 and introduced nuclear weapons into south Korea, staging DPRK-targeted nuclear war exercises every year, he noted, adding:

Another "resolution on sanctions" fabricated by the U.S. and the UNSC against the DPRK on March 7 aggravated the situation on the Korean Peninsula and increased the danger of a war.

This disclosed the irresponsibility of the UNSC.

In this regard, the DPRK declared the nullification of the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA).

Citing facts to prove that AA has so far been systematically scrapped by the U.S, he went on:

The DPRK's decision on nullifying AA does not mean that it is ready to start a war.

It only declared its stand to defend itself from any attack with means in its possession.

The U.S. and its allies and south Korea had better ponder over the consequences to be entailed by their provocations before invading the DPRK.
