Application of Tuition-waiver Program to Korean Schools Demanded in Japan
Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) -- A rally and demonstration took place in Osaka, Japan on March 24 in demand of the application of tuition-waiver program for senior high schools to the Korean schools in Japan and payment of subsidies.

The actions were attended by officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan in Kinki, other Koreans in Japan and Japanese citizens, more than 3 000 in all.

At the rally speakers protested against the Japanese government and local self-governing bodies' unreasonable discrimination against Koreans schools.

They charged that it is unreasonable to refuse to apply the program to Korean schools only unlike other foreign schools.

They called for pooling efforts to fight to the last to protect the Korean schools and ensure the Korean students' right to learn.

Then they staged a demonstration.
