Mincho Minchev, chairman of the Bulgarian Party of Communists, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to hold diverse political and cultural events for praising the noble revolutionary life and immortal feats of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il to celebrate the Day of the Sun.

It also decided to conduct positive media activities for introducing the struggle of the Korean people who are resolutely frustrating the moves of the U.S. and its satellite forces to stifle the DPRK and stepping up the building of a thriving nation under the wise leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
