Japan under Fire for Evading Crime Related to Sexual Slavery
Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- Recently the Japanese envoy to the United Nations said the sexual slavery by the Japanese imperialists should not be dealt as a political and diplomatic issue.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a bylined commentary.

This brazen-faced remark shows the moral vulgarity of Japan, the commentary says, and goes on:

The Japanese authorities have so far run the whole gamut of tricks to sweep the monstrous crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists under the carpet.

Actually Japan is under international criticism for having not liquidated its past crimes.

Japan's attitude and stance towards the past crimes serve as a benchmark judging whether it will win trust or be left isolated and rejected in the international arena.

As Germany officially admitted its war crimes against humankind and apologized and compensated for those crimes, it is earning trust by the international community. So, a few countries opposed German bid for the permanent membership of the UN Security Council.

On the contrary, the majority of the countries on earth are opposed to Japan's bid to sit on UNSC.

A country which is not faithful to its responsibilities under international law and moral obligation can never gain international trust.

The issue of the liquidation of the past crimes can not be left to Japan alone.

There should be an international human rights organization investigating the crimes related to sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese Army.

Japan, a criminal state in the 20th century and the only country that has not liquidated past crimes, should be taken to International Criminal Court based on the historical facts.
