The governor-general said this on March 19 when receiving credentials from DPRK Ambassador to his country Jon Yong Jin.

Jamaica and the DPRK have developed good relations on the principle of mutual respect since the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic relations, he said.

He sincerely hoped that the danger of a nuclear war would be removed from the Korean Peninsula at an early date and all issues be settled peacefully through dialogue.

He also wished the dear respected Kim Jong Un good health and great success in his noble work for leading the Korean people.
