Present there were figures of political parties and organizations including the New Communist Party of Britain, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association and masses.

Dermot Hudson, chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, imparted the statement of a spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army issued on March 5 to the participants and made a report at the meeting.

He said that the moves of the U.S. imperialists to stifle the DPRK have reached a dangerous phase.

He went on:

From March 11 the Korean Armistice Agreement was totally nullified. So the Korean Peninsula is in state of a war in actuality.

The reason for it is that the U.S. imperialists together with their followers including south Korean puppet forces kicked off the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises to make a preemptive strike at the DPRK, instigated the UN Security Council to adopt a new "resolution on sanctions" against it and continuously violated the AA.

The U.S. imperialists have further intensified the psychological warfare against the DPRK.

We call on the progressive forces of the world to give wide publicity and disseminate the advantages of Korean-style socialism and positively support the DPRK.

We will actively support the Korean people who turned out in the all-out action against the U.S.

The report was followed by speeches.

Andy Brooks, general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain, noted that defending the DPRK is a very important issue at present, adding that the world progressive political parties and peoples would always stand on the side of the Korean people.

A resolution adopted at the meeting demanded the stop to the joint military exercises for aggression and the withdrawal of the unjust UNSC's "resolution".
