U.S. Will Get Nothing from Sanctions against DPRK: KCNA Commentary
Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is intensifying the moves to implement the anti-DPRK "resolution on sanctions" over its third nuclear test.

The U.S. and its allies claim that those sanctions are to ensure peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and confined to the field related to the nuclear test, not economic field. However, this cannot cover up the illegality and reactionary nature of their sanctions.

The "resolution on sanctions" is a despicable product of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK to disarm and economically stifle it and bring down Korean-style socialism at any cost.

The U.S. has slapped economic sanctions against the DPRK for nearly seven decades since the liberation of Korea as it has regarded the DPRK advancing along the way of independence, Songun and socialism as a thorn in its flesh.

According to the data published by the Research Service of U.S. Congress in 2006, more than 40 items were included in the sanctions against the DPRK at that time.

Sanctions against the DPRK call for restricting and banning dealings in almost fields ranging from military field to equipment of major factories, cutting-edge technology and goods needed for people's living.

The damages caused to the DPRK by U.S. economic sanctions and blockade have reached astronomical figures.

The U.S. harsh economic sanctions are hideous crimes against humanity and human rights as they are gravely encroaching upon the sovereignty of the DPRK and its normal economic development and the improvement of people's living standard.

Whenever an opportunity presents itself, the U.S. is so impudent as to talk about the people's living in the DPRK this or that way. This is the height of shamelessness.

As a matter of fact but for the U.S. harsh sanctions, the DPRK would have advanced further in economic construction to startle the world people, and the Korean people would have lived better than any others.

The U.S. is seriously mistaken if it thinks it can expect any "success" from its tightened sanctions against the DPRK.

The DPRK ranked itself among the satellite manufacturers and launchers and nuclear weapons states, demonstrating the might of victor at a time when the enemies' sanctions reached an extreme phase. This is, indeed, a historic miracle.

This is ascribable to the immortal and great guiding idea, an eternal and precious revolutionary heritage of the nation handed down by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, illustrious commanders of Mt. Paektu, and the Korean-style unique strategy of national development and economic strategy based on the idea.

It is a tragedy that the U.S. does not know about the DPRK.

The all-out action announced by the DPRK is pursuant to the strategic option to definitely terminate not only the U.S. intention to ignite a new war but its hostile moves against the DPRK that have lasted for nearly seven decades and drop the curtain on the DPRK-U.S. confrontation at an early date.

It is a law of history that justice and truth are sure to triumph and injustice and lie are bound to fail.

Did fascist Germany and Japan ever imagine their defeats when they behaved arrogantly, invading other countries in the last century?

The U.S. should draw a due lesson from the confrontation with the heroic DPRK, which brought about a downhill turn for U.S. imperialism for the first time in history.

The U.S. had better remember golden maxim once again that the history, which failed to draw a lesson, is bound to repeat itself and this will end in tragedy.

The U.S. will get nothing from its economic sanctions against the DPRK.

U.S. imperialism is fated to go to decline and bankruptcy.
