Korean People Are Sure to Win in Confrontation with U.S.: Romanian Figures
Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- Romanian figures issued statements on March 13 and 14 in protest against the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises.

Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the Romanian Socialist Union, said that the U.S. kicked off the large-scale military exercises in the waters off the Korean Peninsula and prodded its allies into cooking up the UN Security Council's "resolution on sanctions". This is a grave provocation threatening peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and a vivid expression of its hostile policy toward the DPRK, he noted, adding:

In view of the prevailing situation a spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army declared the Korean Armistice Agreement invalid. This is a very just measure for self-defence to cope with the U.S. provocation.

The U.S. and south Korean authorities should stop at once the hostile acts against the DPRK, bearing in mind that neither threat nor blackmail works on the Korean people.

The U.S. should withdraw all its aggressor forces including nuclear weapons from south Korea pronto.

We positively support the just cause of the Korean people waging an indomitable struggle despite the ever-escalating provocations of the imperialist allied forces and will always fight shoulder to shoulder in the same trench of the anti-imperialist front.

Daniel Dediu, chairman of the Romanian Workers' Association, said that the joint military exercises being staged by the U.S. are a revelation of the hostile policy of the U.S. and its allies toward the DPRK, a policy aimed to ignite the second Korean war at any cost.

The U.S. madcap moves for a war are wrecking global peace and security, the statement noted, strongly demanding an immediate halt to the moves.

The heroic Korean people will certainly emerge victorious in the confrontation with the U.S. and achieve national reunification, it stressed.
