Taking part in the festival were teachers, researchers and postgraduate students of Kim Il Sung University. It took place in the forms of presentation of scientific and technological achievements, display contest and exchange of intellectual goods and new technologies.

The Mathematics Faculty of the university came first in the presentation of scientific and technological achievements as it displayed cutting-edge research achievements made in modern mathematics education.

Also winning the first place were papers presented by Kim Ryong Hung, a department head of the Geology Faculty, Kim Ok Sun, teacher of the Chemistry Faculty, Yu Jin Hui, teacher of the Electronics and Automation Faculty, Kim Sun Dol, a section chief of Computer Science College, Hong Son Sam, teacher of Pyongyang Agricultural College, and Pak Yong Ju, a section chief of Pyongyang Medical College.
