End to Anti-DPRK "Sanctions", War Drills Demanded
Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Regional Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon) on March 10 held the 24th core members' meeting in Los Angeles at which it made public a statement condemning the hostile moves of the U.S. and its followers toward the DPRK.

The statement said that the UN should not just talk about "peace" and "stability" but lift all the anti-DPRK "sanctions."

The on-going Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint war exercises will last for two months with latest war hardware involved at a time when the military tension on the Korean Peninsula has reached an extreme phase, the statement noted, adding that they are like a detonator to spark off a war.

Recalling that all war exercises have been staged under the simulated conditions of operations to "occupy the north" and a nuclear war, provoking the north and posing a great threat to the existence of the Korean nation and stability in Northeast Asia, the statement demanded a prompt halt to the drills.

It continued:

The north declared the Korean Armistice Agreement and all the north-south agreements on non-aggression invalid from March 11, the day Key Resolve kicked off. The root cause of this grave situation lies in the U.S. strategy for world domination and its hostile policy toward the DPRK as the U.S. rejected all its peace proposals.

It urged the present south Korean "government" not to take the lead in causing the ruin of the nation by following in the footsteps of the former Lee Myung Bak regime.

The U.S. Regional Headquarters of Pomminryon will stand firm against a war and will never tolerate any act of infringing upon the sovereignty of the nation, the statement warned.
