Students' Defence Sports Games Held
Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) -- Defence sports games took place here on Sunday with those in their final year at secondary schools in the city involved.

The games showcased the students' strong will to devotedly fight a sacred war in defence of the country after joining the army as it was held at a time when the situation of the Korean Peninsula is going to the brink of war due to the Foal Eagle and Key Resolve joint military exercises kicked off by the U.S. and its allied forces to make a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK.

The games started with Taekwon-Do event. The performers' movements gave a glimpse of their firm determination to stamp out at a stroke the U.S. imperialists and all other hostile forces infringing upon the nation's dignity and sovereignty.

Model satellites were launched one after another and effigies of the U.S. troops were burnt in flame.

The games ended with group forced march and tug-of-war events displaying the mental power and unity of the collective.

Those students from Central District came first in the games.
