GIs' Shameless Crimes Censured by S. Korean Papers
Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- South Korean papers on Monday and Tuesday carried articles denouncing the hair-raising atrocities of the U.S. imperialist aggressor troops in south Korea and calling for sternly punishing those criminals.

Hangyore reported that GIs in south Korea went on shooting spree against passers-by and when police rushed to the scene, informed of the incident, they drove their car over them, before taking to flight. There occur hundreds of GIs' crimes in south Korea every year but they are go unpunished as their offenses are repeatedly glossed over, it deplored.

Hankuk Ilbo said GIs' crimes in Seoul are getting serious, going beyond the tolerance limit.

The primary cause of such unending crimes is the existence of the unequal SOFA absolutely favorable for the U.S. forces side, it noted.

SOFA is favorable for the U.S. forces unless they are caught red-handed, it said, adding as GI criminals knew about this, they desperately ran away to their base right after the occurrence of the case.

What matters is that GIs' crimes are on the daily increase and getting more outrageous but there is no means for punishing them, Seoul Sinmun deplored.

The people express resentment at the GIs' shameless crimes and the authorities' failure to handle them, it added.
