The bulletin carried an article titled "Kim Jong Il, leader of people" illustrated with his portrait.

It said:

One may say that what was the core of personality of DPRK leader Kim Jong Il was love for the people.

It was his view that a revolution was aimed to bring love for the people into bloom.

It was also his view that patriotism and revolution stem from warm love for the people and deep trust in them.

As he loved the people so much that he pursued benevolent politics unprecedented in world history.

It was his outlook on life to serve the people and devote himself to them.

He regarded the people's wishes and interests as the standard and starting point of all his thoughts and practices and the most important matter which should not be disregarded under any circumstances.

Their happiness was the greatest joy for him.

The bulletin cited facts that he dedicated himself to the beloved people, always thinking of them either on his visits to foreign countries or journeys for field guidance. It was quite natural for the Korean people to have followed him, calling him their father, the bulletin stressed.
