Policy of Gender Discrimination, U.S.-South Korea Joint Military Exercises under Fire
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The Women's Solidarity of south Korea made public a commentary on March 1, denouncing the unpopular policy of gender discrimination and the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises.

Growing stronger in society are voices demanding the guarantee of the women's right to work and human rights, the commentary noted, and went on:

It is necessary to put an end to the policy of gender discrimination as early as possible in order to free the women undergoing sufferings due to harsh discrimination and poverty, left without stable jobs.

The commentary also accused the U.S. and south Korean authorities of staging Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military maneuvers, increasing the danger of war on the Korean Peninsula.

Women will also join in the actions for peace, the commentary said, adding that they would conduct diverse activities including press conference in demand of a stop to the joint military exercises and negotiations for peace as immediate tasks.
