At the 18th Paektusan Prize Sports Contest among Officials of National Institutions held in Pyongyang some time ago, many participants in the Taekwon-Do event, including those from the Overseas Construction Guidance Bureau, demonstrated their good skills.

Popularization of Taekwon-Do has taken on a higher level in the country since Juche 94 (2005).

Tens of rounds of Taekwon-Do courses were organized and a large number of people applied for the examinations to be qualified for the degree. They are now playing a key role in popularizing Taekwon-Do in their residential areas.

Health-promoting practice of Taekwon-Do has been also encouraged in the country, along with practice for elders.
