At the meeting speakers said that the organization would hold diverse events on the occasion of anniversaries of the north-south joint declarations this year, including marathon race for reunification and seminar on education in reunification.

They said the organization would set the days from June 15 to July 27 as a "period for getting a peace treaty concluded" and conduct all-people information activities for peace against war.

A resolution was read out at the meeting.

It said that the unreasonable "sanctions" against the DPRK would lead to confrontation and war, warning that if a war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula, it will go over to a nuclear war and bring disasters to the nation.

It called for conducting positive activities for getting a peace treaty concluded and achieving national reconciliation and cooperation under the uplifted banner of peace against war.

It demanded south Korean and U.S. authorities stop at once joint military exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle.

It urged the south Korean authorities to cancel the "May 24 step" and opt for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
