Russian Media on DPRK's Nuclear Test
Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- Voice of Russia aired a commentary on the DPRK's successful 3rd underground nuclear test on Feb. 21.

The radio elaborated on the three nuclear tests that were carried out by the DPRK.

It said:

No one should expect that the DPRK will abandon its nuclear program under the pressure of the international community or in return for aid from the world.

The DPRK has its own valid reasons for desiring to become a nuclear power.

First, it regards nukes as a guarantee for defending the security of the country.

This is fully understandable when taking into account the situation of Iraq and other countries.

Second, the DPRK thinks that it can pursue its diplomatic policy by wresting the initiative in the international community once it has nukes.

The international community will have to admit that the DPRK can be a nuclear power in the future.

No one can prevent the DPRK from ranking itself among the nuclear powers.

The DPRK stated several times to the world it will never abandon its nuclear program and that it was ready to respond to the call for the negotiations for restricting nuclear missiles.

Time has come to accept the unavoidable situation.

The world should learn the way of co-existing with nukes of the DPRK.
