Joint Military Maneuvers of U.S. and S. Korean Warmongers under Fire
Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- Huge armed forces including Aegis destroyer, escort ships, submarines and sea-patrol planes are involved in the joint anti-submarine exercises of the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces that kicked off in the East Sea of Korea on February 19 and will last till February 24.

This saber-rattling includes "drill for detecting and tracking ballistic missiles" and "exercises for detecting and attacking sea-patrol planes", etc. now under way under the signboard of "coping with threat."

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This indicates that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime have reached an extremely reckless phase in their moves to ignite a war on the Korean Peninsula and invade the DPRK.

A "nuclear threat" touted by the puppet regime is nothing but sophism to cover up its scenario to ignite a nuclear war against the DPRK.

The puppet forces are putting spurs to establishing a system for mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK.

This is evidenced by the facts that the south Korean military bosses openly cried out for "preemptive strikes" recently, trumpeting about "sign of the north's nuclear attack," and they are busy staging drills for making surprise cruise missile strikes by infiltrating submarines into the territorial waters of the north side by stealth.

The joint anti-submarine maneuvers now under way in the East Sea of Korea are a dangerous provocative racket seeking "preemptive nuclear strike" at the DPRK.

In face of this hard fact the fair public at home and abroad clearly sees who is the arch criminal posing a nuclear threat to the peninsula.

The U.S. and south Korean puppet regime are the dangerous aggressor forces threatening peace and security on the peninsula, pursuant to their scenario for a nuclear war.

They had better bear in mind that the warnings of the DPRK are by no means an empty talk, concludes the commentary.
