Papers Praise Those Who Succeeded in Third Underground Nuclear Test
Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- Papers Thursday carry an editorial in praise of the scientists, technicians, workers, soldier-builders and officials who made contributions to successfully carrying out the third underground nuclear test.

They are proud heroes of the nation who strikingly demonstrated the indomitable faith and pluck of Songun Korea advancing under the uplifted banner of independence, Rodong Sinmun says.

It goes on:

The third underground nuclear test is a practical countermeasure to defend the security and sovereignty of the DPRK and a historic event that demonstrated the overall defence capabilities of Songun Korea.

The DPRK's successful nuclear test on a high level dealt a merciless blow to those who are making desperate efforts to stifle it, demonstrated the dignity of the sun's nation to the world and thus provided a firm guarantee for the prosperity of the great Paektusan nation.

The great Kim Il Sung's nation and Kim Jong Il's Korea powerfully showed that it will never abandon the dignity of its sovereign state but resolutely smash any action that is aimed to force it to disarm itself and do harm to its social system. The test, a heroic event, becomes an immortal feat to shine long in the history of the country.

They who succeeded in the third underground nuclear test are precious talents and valuable assets who highly displayed the might of the rapidly developing science and technology and the defence capabilities of the country.

They are genuine patriots who contributed to strengthening the military guarantee for building an economic power.

They are also revolutionary soldiers loyal to the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and pride of Songun Korea whom the whole country should respect.

Minju Joson says that their heroic feats in helping the country win a great victory in the nation's history will be glorified forever along with the history of the Songun revolution of the WPK.
