Birth Anniversary of Kim Jong Il Celebrated in Guinea
Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- Celebrations took place in Guinea from Feb. 7 to 13 to mark the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il. They included a seminar on his exploits, lecture, visit to the Kimilsungia Greenhouse, photo exhibition and film show.

On display in the venues of the events were photos documenting Kim Jong Il's undying exploits.

Also displayed there were photos featuring the Korean people in their efforts to build a thriving nation.

Participants in the film show watched the Korean film "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation."

Riyad Chaloub, chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that Kim Jong Il wisely led the party, army and people of the DPRK for a long period, performing immortal feats before the times and history.

His whole life was the most brilliant one of a great revolutionary and peerless patriot who dedicated his all to the country and people, the chairman stressed.

Camano Vitor, chairman of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Conakry, noted that remarkable successes achieved by the DPRK in recent years are a precious fruition of the Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il, who led the army and people of the country to victory.

Abdoulaye Diallo, chairman of the Society for the Study of the Juche Literary Idea, said that Kim Jong Il shaped a unique music policy in the course of leading the party, state and army of the DPRK.

His work "Theory of Musical Art", which is seen as a library of music and art theory in the new era, and the DPRK's rapidly developing musical art are a product of his rare musical talents and attainments, the chairman noted.

Banou Keita, chairman of the Guinea-Korea Friendship Association, reflecting the unanimous desire of the Guinean people, paid the highest tribute to Kim Jong Il, who exalted the DPRK by dint of Songun by carrying forward the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung.
