Kimjongilia Festival Goes On in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- An endless stream of visitors is flowing to the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition, the venue of the 17th Kimjongilia Festival, every day.

The festival adding to the people's yearning for leader Kim Jong Il has been visited so far by hundreds of thousands of people.

Pavilions of the exhibition are decorated with potted Kimjongilias in full bloom and such letters as "Smile as bright as the sun", "People will remember General Kim Jong Il forever" and "Eternal life".

What catch the eyes are the pavilions of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Secretariat of the DPRK Cabinet, the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea and the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

The exhibits represent the ardent yearning of the local people for Kim Jong Il, who turned the Workers' Party of Korea into an invincible party and the DPRK into a country with strong military might. And they tell that the future of Songun (military-first) Korea is rosier as it is led by respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They also make the visitors recall the tireless efforts Kim Jong Il made for national reunification.

Kim Ju Sun, an official of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, told KCNA:

"Hundreds of potted Kimjongilias, displayed at this pavilion of Chongryon, mirror the deep reverence of Chongryon officials and Japan-resident Koreans for Kim Jong Il.

Frostworks and clear water of Sobaek Stream pictured here represent their germ-like mind to hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem forever."

Pavilions, prepared by the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and others, showcase the profound reverence of world's progressives for Kim Jong Il, who made tremendous contributions to global independence.

Among those exhibits are immortal flowers presented by foreign organizations for friendship with the Korean people, including Kim Il Sung Kindergarten in Mongolia, the France-Korea Friendship Association and the Peru-Korea Institute of Culture and Friendship, and 30 odd foreign embassies and missions of international agencies in Pyongyang.

Exhibits also came from some 40 foreign travel agencies.
