Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed
| Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Tuesday dedicates an article to the 39th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's work "On Some Immediate Tasks of Party Ideological Work for Modeling the Whole Society on Kimilsungism".
The work, published on Feb. 19, Juche 63 (1974), formulates the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism, comprehensively clarifies its historical position, constituent system and contents and declares it as the supreme programme of the Workers' Party of Korea to model the whole society on Kimilsungism.
The work serves as an important one of great significance in the WPK and the revolutionary history, the article says, dealing with the feats Kim Jong Il performed in the course of modeling the whole society on the Juche idea.

He long ago analyzed and reviewed the history of the previous working-class revolutionary idea with his rare ideological and theoretical wisdom and provided ever-victorious guidelines for the Korean revolution.
Thanks to his leadership, the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung was systematized in an integral manner and glorified as an encyclopedic revolutionary doctrine which clarifies a correct outlook on the world, revolutionary theory and fighting method in the era of independence.
The single-minded unity is the mainstay for the Korean revolution and the most important national defence capability stronger than a nuclear weapon. This was his political creed.
Under his leadership, the work to establish the party's monolithic ideological system gained in depth and the tradition of unity provided in Mt. Paektu is being successfully carried forward.
The principle of independence and Juche is the revolutionary principle he consistently adhered to in the whole course of leading the revolution and construction.
He led the army and the people of the DPRK to victory under the uplifted banner of Juche and patriotism all his life, the article concludes.
