DPRK People Call for Tougher Counteractions
Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- The DPRK people, including servicepersons, have unanimously hailed the successful underground nuclear test, which was conducted in the country on Tuesday.

They also want to see that the country takes the second and third high-intensity counteractions in succession if the U.S. persists in its hostile policy toward it.

Ri Song Ho, an officer of the Korean People's Army, told KCNA:

"Through the recent test, the U.S. and its followers should be well aware of the steadfast will of the Korean army and people to defend the nation's sovereignty at all costs.

Impudently, they are now calling for vessel inspections and maritime blockade against the DPRK.

We, servicepersons, who value the nation's sovereignty dearer than their lives, will not tolerate any slightest provocation but deal a merciless retaliatory strike to the provokers. The DPRK boasts of its inexhaustible military might."

Rim In Guk, a researcher of Hamhung University of Agriculture, said:

"The successful nuclear test gave courage and confidence in victory to the people in full readiness to turn out in an all-out action against the U.S. and its followers.

As long as we have strong nuclear deterrent, we are afraid of nothing.

I think it is necessary for the DPRK to go on with taking toughest counteractions until the U.S. chooses to respect the DPRK's right to satellite launch and repent of its high-handed practices.

Concession leads to defeat in the face-off. Key to ultimate victory is to steadily increase the military capability in every way."
