The U.S. "sanctions" racket against the DPRK has created an emergency situation on the Korean Peninsula in which a war is unavoidable and a serious danger of a nuclear war, the appeal said, adding:

The south Korean authorities are not hiding their scenario for a preemptive strike at the DPRK while the U.S. is amassing lots of nukes in the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula and the waters off south Korea to be ready for an actual war.

The U.S. is busy with its high-handed "sanctions" racket over the north's satellite launch recognized by itself. This is promoted by its intention to save its economy and hegemonic policy from bankruptcy.

The Lee Myung Bak regime is busy escalating "sanctions" under the prevailing situation in which a crisis has occurred due to the U.S. This cannot be construed otherwise than a very dangerous development.

It is hard to expect peace unless the U.S. "sanctions" are opposed and stopped.

The Lee regime and the "Saenuri Party" should stop at once the discussion on the issue of joining in the "sanctions" and slapping additional "sanctions."

All the political camp, civic and public organizations and people desirous of peace should wage a powerful struggle for peace against war with the will to oppose the U.S. "sanctions against the north" and war.

It is the only way to struggle for frustrating all the U.S. actions and war moves.

There would be no peace without actions against "sanctions", war and the U.S.

Let us all get united in the struggle for defending peace from the U.S. and war!
