Kim Kum Sok, Schoolboy Blessed with Kim Jong Un's Loving Care
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Schoolchildren's performance "Blessing of the Sun" took place here on the lunar New Year's Day.

Among the performers was Kim Kum Sok, a 14-year-old student of the Chongchongang Secondary School in Anju City, South Phyongan Province.

He has no mother and his father has served a prison term from a few years ago.

Kim told KCNA:

"For my top school records, I was unexpectedly selected as a delegate to the celebrations of the 66th anniversary of the Korean Children's Union held in Pyongyang in June last year.

Prior to departure for Pyongyang, I went to a hospital where my mother was staying for critical illness to say goodbye to her. My mother was in tears. Later she died. It was so sorrowful for me.

But I did not know that respected Marshal Kim Jong Un was informed of the fact. Back home from the celebrations in Pyongyang, I was told by officials that he took a measure to look after me with all sincerity."

Kim Kum Sok is now living with his 17-year-old sister. They are under the care of villagers, teachers and city officials.

In a true-story telling "Thank you, Marshal Kim Jong Un" for the performance, Kim said:

"Mama, don't worry about me. Marshal Kim Jong Un is now taking warm care of me.

He brought my dream into reality. His care is parental love."
