Kim Jong Il's Career Praised by Foreign Papers
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Foreign papers carried special write-ups on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

The Malaysian paper Guang Ming Daily on Feb. 5 carried an article titled "Greatest national holiday of Korean people" illustrated with a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il and photos of his birthplace in the Paektusan Secrete Camp and Kimjongilia.

The Korean people are celebrating Feb. 16 as the Day of the Shining Star, the paper said, and went on:

Kim Jong Il was born as the son of guerillas on Mt. Paektu, the holy mountain of revolution, and grew up in the crucible of the revolutionary wars at two stages and victoriously led the protracted revolution.

His career was the noble one of the great leader who devoted his all to realizing the plan and desire of President Kim Il Sung, the founder of socialist Korea.

Recalling that Kim Jong Il developed the Korean People's Army into the invincible revolutionary armed forces and turned the DPRK into a nuclear weapons state which no enemy dares provoke, the paper stressed that these feats would last forever.

The Bangladeshi paper Industry on Feb. 3 carried an article illustrated with a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The article said that the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism have been clarified once again thanks to the energetic ideological and theoretical activities of Kim Jong Il, chairman of the National Defence Commission, and progressive mankind are convinced of the validity of socialism and necessity of its victory.

The paper said that his undying cause is being successfully carried forward by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The Pakistani paper Baluchistan Times on the same day carried an article praising the feats Kim Jong Il performed in accomplishing the cause of national reunification.
